Cellist, pianist, composer, and educator, Jake Sokolov-Gonzalez is a graduate of Bard college where he studied composition with Marina Rosenfeld and Joan Tower. Since, he has performed at the Museum of Modern Art with Tania Bruguera, at Olana with Pauline Oliveros, at the Vision Festival with William Parker, the Performa Biennial with Marina Rosenfeld, at Lincoln Center Out of Doors with Larry Harlow, Germany’s Stimmen Festival with Lisa Sokolov, and with Steve Swell in-residency at The Stone.

Jake's current projects include multimedia collaborations with movement artist Andrew Braddock, a songs project with his sister Raina Sokolov-Gonzalez, solo instrumental works, and a range of production work.
