Santa Claus is coming to Zoom
That’s right... the Santa version of “#txtshow” is BACK, online, for the first time!
“#merrytxtmas (to all, and to all a good ‘net)” is the online holiday variant of one of Brian Feldman’s signature projects. For this special Christmas in July performance, a mysterious character named txt (pronounced “text”), dressed as Santa Claus, recites a script written anonymously in real-time by a live audience (on the ‘net).
During this completely immersive multiscreen performance, Santa asks that you please leave your audio and video on the entire time to know when you’ve been bad or good, so be good for goodness sake.
Created and performed by Brian Feldman, this live, interactive performance takes place on Zoom.
Based entirely upon what audience members write in anonymity, this event may contain mature themes, profane language, and explicit sexual content. *It’s definitely not for kids!*
Santa’s Helper: Genny Yosco
“#merrytxtmas” premiered at Rhizome DC on Jan 5, 2019.
