Aaron Shneyer - "Love Rebellion" Album Release Concert

Aaron Shneyer's songs share dreams of love and freedom from war. This concert celebrates the release of his LP, "Love Rebellion," which he wrote over 10+ years while living and working in Jerusalem with Israeli and Palestinian musicians. Aaron's music is rooted in soulful folk and feel good dance music from across the globe.

Aaron Shneyer grew up in Washington, DC in a family of musicians and activists and has lived many formative, music shaping years jumping between Israel and Palestine, Berlin, NYC, DC, Miami and Chile. Aaron founded Heartbeat (www.heartbeat.fm) which unites youth musicians across divides, and is the Managing Director of One Common Unity (www.onecommonunity.org) an arts-based violence prevention organization in DC. He's performed with luminary artists including Bobby McFerrin, Mira Awad, TootArd, Sameh "Saz" Zakout, Gabriel Meyer Halevy, and Nava Tehila. He's a 2018, 2020, and 2022 Artist Fellow with the DC Commission on the Arts and Humanities and the Musician in Residence at the Sixth and I Historic Synagogue.
