Travis Johns is a sound artist residing in Ithaca, NY, whose work often incorporates eco/bio-based themes and electronic instruments of his own design. As an improviser, he performs primarily on electric bass and electronics; with studies in the field conducted under the tutelage of Fred Frith, Joelle Leandre and Butch Morris, among others. Active in the San Francisco Bay Area experimental music scene for several years, Johns moved to Costa Rica in 2011 where he collaborated extensively with visual artist Paulina Velazquez-Solis on Raro, an immersive sound and sculpture installation that represented Costa Rica in the 2013 Biennial of the Central American Isthmus (BAVIC). Since returning to the states, first to Baltimore and later to Ithaca, he’s continued to apply his trade as a composer, educator and sound artist under the nom de plume of VauxFlores. vauxflores.com

Gary Rouzer (electric bass, amplified objects, cello, clarinet, field recordings) was born in Washington DC and works in the area between free improvisation and composition. His focus is on electro-acoustic sounds and the relation between musician and listener within the performance space while exploring noise, silence, texture, and abstract sound. He is an active member of the DC experimental music scene and has performed at Sonic Circuits, Electric Possible, Fringe Festival, Artomatic, and the Kennedy Center in addition to performances in Baltimore, NYC, Hamburg, and Berlin. amptext.wordpress.com/

The sounds made by Mx. Zoe! Eyerolls have been described as "super adventurous – you just may end up down some paths that aren’t quite as comfortable as you’d hope" (Tabs Out) and "either an excellent set of art slices or an annoying noise that demands you turn it off" (THE ORGAN). They can't both be wrong! eyerolls.bandcamp.com/

Comfort Link (Baltimore, MD) is the project of sPLeeNCoFFiN label head Timothy Wisniewski. Wavering between chopped and slopped horror soundtrack and bewildering reel-to-reel manipulation, Wisniewski is the harbinger of amplified slime. soundcloud.com/spleencoffin/comfort-link-the-celestial-music-of-comfort-link-excerpt
