This is a bi-weekly workshop and discussion space for artists, writers, translators, or other community members working across linguistic boundaries in any medium or practice.

Depending on interest, this group can serve as a workshop for those who want structure or accountability for deadlines in their work, a reading group on issues of translation in a variety of media or practices, and/or a space to discuss the challenges of working across linguistic and cultural boundaries, while contending with the hegemony of the English language and its many norms.

Anyone interested in a space to affirm and embrace the linguistic multiplicity of the DMV, conversations across media and practice about challenging monolingualism, or any other personal, professional, or intellectual investments that feel relevant is welcome!

This group will be facilitated by Nathaniel Gallant, a professional translator and writer based in the DC area, but will be structured and organized based on group interests. https://nathanielgallant.com
