Teagan Nam is a DC area senior with a lifelong passion for all things creative — whether it be art, music, fiction, or poetry. They founded a poetry club at their school and have won several local awards for their poetry, which tend to play with structure and rhythm and feature themes such as nature, family, connection, mental illness, and healing. One of their dreams is to publish a poetry collection, but their larger goal in life is to make an impact with their art like so many other artists have impacted them.
Ash Newton is a 17 year old poet, writer and visual artist that is capable of seeing through walls. Born with x-ray vision, their work seeks to expose the realities they witness every day; the inner workings of teen society. With their powers they explore the intricacies of gender, the hidden mechanics of the planet, mysteries of science and miracles of sport. They focus on spectacle, as the whole world is spectacular. Their hobbies include training their powers, exercising, drawing, reading, and watching their first love: motorcycle races. They are open to any requests for instruction or training on how to unlock x-ray vision and experience the full dimensions of reality without the use of drugs.
Wallace Hewchuck grew up surrounded by literature, he loves all creative writing and takes inspiration from Ray Bradbury, Osamu Dazai and James Baldwin. He has been writing poetry as long as he can remember, from sonnets and haikus to formless abstraction, poetry has always been and will continue to be his boldest self expression.
Gilly Muse is a singer/songwriter. She learned piano and violin when she was young. After taking inspiration from artists like Cavetown and Penelope Scott she stared writing music in 8th grade. Currently she is in 11th grade. By trial and error learned how to play guitar, write good songs and produce music. Currently she is working on a musical and a few songs to be released on Spotify.
