YOUTH ARTIST SERIES: Colesville Collective / Sasha Vesensky / Teaghan McLaughlin

Tuesday June 14 * 7pm * outdoors, weather permitting * TICKETS

We are very excited to present the first in a series of shows featuring young artists and performers, organized and produced by area teens. Interested in getting involved? DM @yas_rhizome or email info@rhizomedc.org.

Colesville Collective is an up and coming band from around the D.C area. Featuring members: Milo Simon on guitar, Beck Robertson on bass, Ian Rose Alvarado on Drums, Phillip Daniel on Tenor Sax, Alex Wendell on trombone, and Nuamen Audena on bari sax, the band is representing some of the best jazz backgrounds in DC. Come see their exciting jazz fusion and a great show.

Sasha Vesensky is an aspiring writer who does not like the term "aspiring writer" which probably says a lot about them already. They'll often be found with her nose in a book or hunched over a sewing machine. She hopes to be published someday, but until then they're content reading their work aloud to their two oblivious cats. She writes mostly short satirical stories but also dabbles in poetry, and is currently dreaming up a novel.

Teaghan McLaughlin is a 16 year old homeschooler who sings and plays a number of instruments recreationally. Her hobbies include picking shiny things off of the ground, walking her four dogs, and buying more jackets. If she isn’t singing, you can find teaghan roaming around the forest in search of animal bones and fairies.
