A free festival of Latin-American puppetry and music for all ages! Teatro Lambe-Lambe is a form of street puppetry from Brazil, where a short 2-3 minute puppet show is performed inside of a box for just one or two spectators at a time. Invented by puppeteers Ismene Lima and Denise do Santos in 1989, lambe-lambe shows can now be seen in plazas, parks and festivals across South America and parts of Europe as well. Come experience this intimate performance style with lambe-lambe shows from local DMV puppeteers as well as music sets from Grupo Fénix and Elena La Fulana.
