The Remnant Project - Tuesday July 11 from 5-6:30pm

Fossils, imprints and leftover objects such as pottery shards and beads can tell us much about the past, just as the leavings of today will be on this planet for generations to come, informing the future about our time.

Come by Rhizome to celebrate Caroline MacKinnon’s ongoing Remnant sculpture which has been on display and added to over the past month.

If you’ve already made a Remnant, see if you can find it in the larger sculpture - or make more Remnants which will be added later to future iterations.

Constructed of glazed ceramic pieces impressed with natural and manufactured materials and bound together with wire, each Remnant was made by folks ages 3 to 83 in the DMV community.
