The Electric Nature / Craig Bowen

Poster: Josh Levi

Monday September 25 * 8pm * TICKETS

The Electric Nature are an experimental group of improvisers from Athens, GA that delve equally into psychedelic noise, dark & light ambient, free rock abandon, harsh drones, modular synthesis, and whatever else might pique their interest on any given day. Their new album, The Skies Parted And All The Angels Fell From Heaven, arrives Sept. 26 from Eiderdown Records, and features a more electronic side of the group. Utilizing heavy synths, drum machines, and samplers instead of the usual guitars & drums noise rock blast, the group create a sort of cosmic industrial music for their new iteration of sound. This tour sees group founder Michael Potter traveling solo, using this new material as a guide for improvising with different musicians in some cities and playing solo in others, ensuring that each performance will be a unique and exciting experience.

Craig Bowen plays textural electric guitar, drifting between chiming punctuated arpeggios to saturated washes of harmonics, on top of and woven into the amplified sputter of an analog drum machine. Craig owns and operates Tempo House recording studio in Baltimore.
