Advance Base is the melancholic soft rock recording project of Chicago, IL singer/songwriter Owen Ashworth (formerly of Casiotone for the Painfully Alone). Using a two-handed arsenal of electric piano, Omnichord, samplers, effect pedals & drum machines, Ashworth builds minimalist, heavy-hearted, & nostalgia-obsessed ballads around his conversational baritone. The warm, electronic sound of Advance Base has been described as "lo-fi," "depressed" & "weirdly uplifting."
fàájì:funk! Is a Pan-African Communist and student of the Black Arts Movement (‘65-75). fàájì began their hiatus away from performing a year before the ongoing global pandemic and now, in 2024, they’re finally ready to funk shit up again. Their only musical aspiration is to have fun writing music for the Land Back World Tour. Everything apart from that is a drag because shit don’t be that serious for real.
Young Moon (Trevor Montgomery, formerly of Tarantel & Lazarus), released two albums on Western Vinyl in the 2010's. In the years since, Trevor has relocated from San Francisco, CA to Aotearoa, New Zealand, where he has continued to write and record his unique style of melancholic synth pop. The latest Young Moon album, Triggered by Sunsets, was released by Orindal Records in 2023.
