Tramuntanas, a new instrumental duo from Baltimore, features Asa Osborne (known for his work with Lungfish, the Pupils, and Zomes) and Canadian sound and video installation artist Shan Collis. The duo recently released their debut album and will be performing shows throughout the summer. The self-released album is distributed by Dischord Records.
Garland of Hours is the alter ego of Washington DC-based, multi-instrumentalist Amy Domingues. Amy began performing her keyboard and cello-based songs with a rotating cast of friends (including Brendan Canty, Jerry Busher, Brandon Butler, and Mary Timony) in 2000. Garland of Hours’ self-titled debut appeared not long after, and an appearance in the DC music documentary Burn to Shine. Two subsequent albums "The Soundest Serum" (2007) and "Lucidia" (2012) followed. After a long hiatus in which she studied viola da gamba and historical performance, Domingues returns to perform a solo set of ancient and new songs, incorporating cello, vocals, and electronics.
