Immerse yourself in natural watercolors with local artist Mei Mei Chang. RSVP today to uncover the secrets of this stunning art form showcased in Mei Mei's current QUEERING SOUND installation at Rhizome.

Let your creativity flow as you explore using black beans to create unique natural watercolors. These beautiful colors, ranging from rich brown to deep purple, green, or blue, will be the base to inspire your mixed-media art and collage, consisting of layered lines, textures, and other materials. We will provide black-bean watercolors during the workshop, and participants will create their own to take home!

All necessary materials - black bean watercolors, watercolor paper, acrylic paint, brushes, colored pencils, and drawing tools - will be provided. If you want to use other materials during the workshop, feel free to bring them along.
