OCCIPITAL caters and encourages collaboration and experimentation within the worlds of fashion and music through performances featuring musicians styled in local fashion designers’ creations, workshops hosted by local artists, a marketplace, and mutual aid. OCCIPITAL is curated and coordinated by DMV artists Alightenment and Nyomi.

fashion workshops lineup (participation fee goes directly to the hosts on the day of the event):
“decorate a showgrrl bra or top with burlesque queen madam staxx!” embellishment workshop. sewing optional, as there will also be glue guns. bring your own bra/top, and the other supplies will be provided. perfect for rave fits, burlesque, etc. 

“bleach and distress with sam clocks” punkify your clothes. bring your own clothes and patches. 

“nature printing with sarah magida” learn how to use a hammer to print patterns of flowers on t-shirts! materials and take-home instructions included, discount available if you bring your own shirt.

“photo booth with mission events, llc” professional 360 photo booth with backdrops, lighting, and props to capture your fits. 

“cionnes closet with cionne” cionnes closet will be providing you an exciting workshop on how to style and cultivate a unique wardrobe and personal style!
