From a genre perspective, the music is aligned with and informed by the many jazz/Black American/creative music traditions that have come before it, focusing on groove, improvisation, and textured tonality.
*** Attendees will be able to purchase a limited edition version of the record featuring exclusive cover art only available here; heavily discounted merchandise from Abe’s archives will also be available to purchase.
**** The Abe Mamet Septet’s new album is made possible in part by generous funding from the Prince George's County Arts and Humanities Council.
