Classes will be conducted in Spanish and are intended for students looking for language immersion and opportunities to boost their knowledge of Latino culture through culinary adventures. Real-life learning and conversation with native speakers will be a central focus, and for that reason group size will be kept to a minimum. We'll be making tortillas, pupusas, tamales, meeting Langley Park's own mural artist and more!

Instructor Michelle Dudley says "I hope to share my appreciation of Spanish/Latino culture with others in a friendly learning environment and to serve as a cultural liaison for anyone interested in crossing language barriers into our local Latino community and beyond. In addition to having a B.A. in Spanish and working in the Latino community since 2008, I've been a Peace Corps Volunteer in Guatemala and have lived in Spain and Argentina. I hold a Master's Degree in Intercultural Communication, and am a certified ESOL teacher with teaching experience at Montgomery College."
