Hairy Sands: Hairy Sands is a Brooklyn/Queens musical duo. After years of exploring more "traditional" song structures, they've now ventured off into the deep waters of improvisation and sonic experimentation in search of other colors. Their performances often morph with abandon between drone, ambient, noise, with islands of melodies appearing between shifting clouds of rhythm. Perhaps this recent work is less a new direction than a decade long distillation - two different perspectives finally meeting at the vanishing point of sound.
