Join us for a night of works for strings, featuring pieces by Gubaidulina, Mazzoli, Mellits, Montgomery, and more! We are saying a musical farewell to our dear friend and collaborator, violinist Amir Nasseri, as he embarks on a new journey in San Diego! This program features extremes of trio and duo composition, from the complex soundscapes of Gubaidulina’s first string trio to the driving rock rhythms of Marc Mellits’ Tapas, to original compositions by the performers themselves. Within this performance we hope to showcase repertoire that we love with the people we love to play with.
