Agua Viva is a musical project by singer songwriter Josi Arias, a multidisciplinary Argentine artist living in New York. Throughout her journey Josi has fused galactic soundscapes with dream pop, tropical beats, and watery vibes. She also combines spiritual healing practices with music, as a result, her shows sometimes include meditations, spells, and an atmosphere to restore the energy. How To Build A Fountain (her last album) brings together Josi’s tradition of south of the border synth pop, and her work using cosmic frequencies. The result is a record that captures scenes off an ethereal nightclub, a discotheque in the sky, an ancient and futuristic female voices, a time to enjoy being alive but also to reflect.
Basically Nancy is a three-piece band based in Savannah, GA. The trio got their start by playing local open mics and by sloppily playing punk covers around town in venues they couldn't legally drink in. Now years later, Basically Nancy performs all over the US, and they command a room with original songs made up of heavy tones and aggressive lyrics combined with melodic sweetness. Basically Nancy’s music portrays the experience of being a young woman and the frustrations that come with it. Their self-titled debut album was constructed over the span of a few years with no original intent of being heard but rather as a collaborative therapeutic outlet. It is an amalgamation of personal stories touching on topics ranging from love and friendship to dissatisfaction and abuse.
Mary Jane Regalado is a multitalented musical genius living in DC. You may know her from her other projects, Urania, Gauche, Clear Channel, Downtown Boys and Past Pawn.
