Rhizome is currently the de facto home for experimental music in the DC area. Participants in this camp will explore what it's all about. We'll learn about noise music, free improvisation, extended techniques, sound-based performance art, and more, mostly through hands-on exploration of some of the tools of the trade. Guest appearances from local luminaries. Come with an open mind, leave with a wide open sense of what music can be, as well as plenty of ideas for further experiments at home. Limited to 8 participants.
