Saturday April 18 * 5pm * REGISTER
In this foraging workshop, I will talk about some of the common Mid-Atlantic wild edible plants that I like to forage in the early Spring. I'll cover identification, harvesting, making them delicious, ecology, and responsible harvesting and conservation. I will likely be making pesto out of a variety of wild greens. I'll provide some direction for how you can teach yourself to know and use the plants in your area, and point you towards the learning resources that I have found most helpful. This workshop will be interactive, so bring your questions, and if there is a particular plant that you want to identify, bring a photo or a sample of it and I'll tell you if I know what it is.
